Equine Community Resources is a needs-based service organization committed to helping Central Oregon equine owners experiencing personal or short-term financial difficulties in caring for their horses.

Get ‘Em Gelded Campaign:

When: Twice a year during the months of May and October.

Equine Community Resources is excited to announce in lieu of our past gelding clinics our new Get ‘Em Gelded Campaign. Applicants must be from Central Oregon. During the months of May and October, we will be offering 10 applicants $200 paid by ECR directly to your vet of choice on a first come first serve basis. Registration will open the 1st of May and the 1st of October, registration will end once 10 applicants are accepted or at the end of the month. Applicants will have 60 days to have their horse gelded. ECR will pay the vet of your choice directly. Applicants will need to arrange with their vet for ECR to contact the vet directly to confirm payment methods.

Registration page will be added to the “Assistance Programs“ tab at the end of April 2024.

Dental Campaign:

When: The month of May.

Applicants must be from Central Oregon. During the month of May, we will be offering 10 applicants $200 worth of assistance paid by ECR directly to your vet of choice on a first come first serve basis. Assistance may only be used on equine dental work. Applicant’s are responsible for the remainder of their equine’s dental appointment fees. Registration will open the 1st of May. Registration will end once 10 applicants are accepted or at the end of the month. Applicants will have 60 days to have their equine’s dental work done. ECR will pay the vet of your choice directly. Applicants will need to arrange with their vet for ECR to contact the vet directly to confirm payment methods.
